Understanding autism causes is extremely important if you’re going to effectively assist an individual diagnosed with autism or recovering yourself. Autism is caused by issues in the brain that often make it hard to communicate with and relate to others. We have found that the brain tends to struggle with recalling things from memory. This means that the information is stored correctly in the brain. However, there is trouble recalling the stored information into conscious thought for use.
For example, a child may no longer be able to say what they once could. Those things are still stored in the brain. But because the child can no longer access those memories, they can’t include them in their speech.
Additionally, if a child can’t access stored information, the child won’t be able to use it to learn. So, learning stops because recall is no longer taking place as it should. In some cases, the brain cells have actually been damaged and are unable to function properly. The Root of Autism Causes
At Optimum Health, we have only found one cause, the root cause…toxicity. Many substances can enter the brain, 
impair recall, and even damage brain cells. What are they? Mercury, arsenic, and lead are three of the major culprits that can get into the brain and lead to symptoms identical to the symptoms of autism. The facts are beginning to make this very obvious. Researchers have published many papers indicating that arsenic, mercury, and other heavy metals are neurotoxins. As such, these substances are widely recognized as toxic to humans, particularly to the brain. It has been proven that arsenic and heavy metals such as mercury cause mental issues identical to autism and Alzheimer’s. Shouldn’t these be considered as at least one of the autism causes?
The Two-Year Old Within
Optimum Health has been assisting families with their children’s autism causes for nearly 30 years. However, it is our last ten years of working with autistic individuals that have allowed us to recognize that most are stuck at the developmental age at which recall issues and brain cell injury began. As research has established, both mercury and arsenic can affect the brain in a way that can lead to a diagnosis of autism. Scientists have proven that mercury leaks from amalgam fillings and spreads throughout the body. It has also been proven that the mercury crosses the placental barrier and enters the developing baby. This is why doctors currently encourage women not to eat a lot of seafood while pregnant.
It is with this in mind that it only makes sense to see if each autistic child has a history of exposures to mercury and arsenic. Then, test them for these two poisonous elements.
