Cure or Heal: To Cure
Mosby’s Medical Dictionary defines a cure as “restoration to health of a person afflicted with a disease or other disorder”. So, when the body is healing a formally named disease or disorder, you can say that a cure is taking place. However, Mosby’s Medical Dictionary and many others give a more medically accepted definition. They state, “a course of therapy, a medication, a therapeutic measure, or another remedy used in treatment of a medical problem…”. Legally, one requires special credentials to say that a cure has occurred.
Cure or Heal: To Heal
At Optimum Health, we leave the curing brought on by medicines and treatment of diseases to the physicians. We focus on assisting your body with healing the underlying causes of health issues. This means we aim to ensure your body has what it needs to restore its own health. Then we get out of the way and watch as your body brings itself as close to optimal health as possible. This is a small difference, but it has a huge impact. SEE TESTIMONIALS
What is the Difference Between Healing and Curing?
Optimum Health asks:
“TO CURE OR HEAL?“
THAT IS THE QUESTION

To cure or heal? What is the difference? At times, curing can be the same as healing. However, only the medical establishment is permitted to use the term “cure”. “Cure” is typically reserved for an apparent return to normalcy brought about by medication. Heal is a term that has no real negative legal implications. Therefore, it can be used by anyone who helps the body to restore health by any means available.
