One of our female clients would only cry and never converse when she originally came to our center. Now, not only does she talk, but she is constantly encouraging me to be positive and happy. If I use words like kill or bad (as in “kill the bad germs”) she will look at me and say, “I am going to pray for you to protect you from your bad language!”
One day, while she was in the detox center, another client came in extremely happy and energetic as his program that we put him on was working extremely well. He was practically bouncing off the walls with energy, happiness and positive vibes. So, I leaned over to the female client and said, ‘Is he happy and positive enough for you?” She said, “Oh yes. We may have to tie him down with a string so he doesn’t float away!” The happy and positive client responded with, “Oh no…A string won’t do. It is going to take a rope!”
