What is Dehydration?
Dehydration is defined as the excessive loss of body fluid.
In fact, the main reason for dehydration at Optimum Health is a lack of water consumption. As a result, we think of it as having too little body fluid due to decreased water intake. Dehydration can be due to a loss of body fluid as well. Thus, we must consider this option as well.

When Do Symptoms of Dehydration Occur?
Initial symptoms generally become noticeable with mild dehydration. That is to say, when 1- 2% of one’s normal water volume is lost symptoms usually appear. Further, the symptoms can increase as your water volume decreases. A good way to determine if you are dehydrated is by checking to see if you have turgor of the skin appearing. Also, the longer you are dehydrated, the more severe the symptoms become. Finally, some symptoms only appear with chronic (long-term) dehydration.
Notably, the symptoms from dehydration due to loss of blood can be critical. In fact, if you are bleeding for a prolonged amount of time, see a qualified health professional. Above all, if you suddenly begin to bleed excessively, contact your qualified health professional immediately!
